Once the author has approved the copy he/she will be able to purchase books within two-weeks, depending on printers schedule.
ALSO, book dealers can buy wholesale from WLA. Inquire for our wholesale price list. Resale certification is necessary. Writers Literary Agency will pay the author a 10% royalty on the wholesale price of the book.
Author Price discounts
Typically,
50 copies is 30% discount
75 copies is 40%
100 copies is 50%
Author will determine the price of the book!
But, Retail Pricing, Typically:
200-250 pages Retail Price - $13.95 @
250-300 pages Retail Price - $14.95 @
300-350 pages Retail Price - $15.95 @
350-400 pages Retail Price - $16.95 @
Larger - Add $1.00 for each additional fifty pages
MINIMUM NUMBER OF PAGES 108
Maximum Limit: 700 pages
If the author BUYS 200 copies at 50% discount and SELLS 200 copies at retail price, he will break even or make a PROFIT.
Once the first two hundred are sold, the author can purchase books at the above discounts. Additionally, commissions will be paid to the author for sales completed by WLA Publishing to wholesale distributors. The commission will be 10% of the wholesale price.
No commissions on Author's orders, Standard within the industry.
" THE DEAL KICKER"
Writers Literary Agency will also represent the book. Once copies have been printed, Writers Literary Agency will represent the writer and submit books to mass paperback publishers offering the publisher the paperback rights. If Writers Literary Agency is successful in selling the mass paperback rights, Writers Literary Agency will receive 10% of Advance and future Royalties.
Writers Literary Agency will also forward copies of the book to producers and studios within the film industry to determine if there is an interest in purchasing film rights to the book. This is at the discretion of Writers Literary Agency decision makers.
In the event Writers Literary Agency is successful in selling screen rights, Writers Literary Agency will receive a 10% commission for the sale of the property. This is standard in the industry.
The author will be required to sign a representation agreement, A literary release, and a publishing contract.
